While acquiring social media know-how isn’t something that just happens on its own, especially for older employees (50+) – not social media natives. The challenge is how to teach them social media in such a mercurial environment.
Within Be Digital project four organizations from Lithuania, Latvia, Iceland and Norway have jointly set up a free training course for people over 50 who feel the need for theoretical, technical and practical knowledge to acquire the digital competencies they need for work.
In Latvia, these training courses were organized by the Biedrība Eurofortis in cooperation with the Latvian Employers’ Confederation. The training was divided into 4 lecture courses from October 16 to November 6 on the online platform ZOOM and was attended by a total of thirteen charming ladies from different places of Latvia. They all were highly motivated to acquire the most basic skills for daily use of social networks and at their workplace. In the end of this training course all participants received a certificate of participation.
The training was led by enthusiastic Evita Brilte. She is a digital marketing specialist with hands-on experience in online communication and the advertisement world. Experience gained while working in a digital marketing agency, Start-up, and creating her own brand as well.
At the end of the training course, the participants admitted that atmosphere during the . They were very useful and thoughtful, with a lot of added value. they allowed us to supplement the existing knowledge and learn a lot of new things in this field.
